Raphael Agbandje, personal Estate Agent powered by EXP asks 'what's the optimal length of video content time to keep somebody engaged on social media?'
I will answer as quickly as possible by saying your content should be as long but no longer than it needs to be. At first glance, that might seem like a supremely unhelpful answer, as I'm sure you were expecting a solution that included a number. All the algorithms, all the platforms, and all the talk about Facebook videos should be 2 minutes, and YouTube videos should be 10 minutes. That's all great; however, the platform might tell you it's the most popular form of content, but in reality, it mightn't be suitable for your message.
Audiences want to watch a video that gets to the message or to the point as quickly and concisely as possible. Reduce the waffle. Only add in sales messages after you get to the point, make sure that your information is relevant and concise and work out how long your video should be based on how long it will take you to impart that information to the audience.
Don't worry about the algorithms. Don't worry about what the platform says. Worry about your message.
